MGA firm Alta Signa has announced its expansion into Central and Southeastern Europe (CSEE) and has appointed Paulina Radgowska as Head of Business development CSEE.

handshakeSpecialising in Financial Institutions, Management Liability, Professional Indemnity, Cyber Risk, and Commercial Crime insurance, the firm has successfully launched operations in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain since it began operations in 2019.

In her new role, Radgowska will be based in Barcelona, Spain, and in Warsaw, Poland, and will frequently travel in the CSEE region to expand Alta Signa’s business lines and relationships.

She is an experienced underwriter and business development expert who has held senior positions with leading specialty lines brokers and insurers, and also has a wealth of knowledge having worked with entrepreneurs from across sectors.

Commenting on her appointment, Radgowska said:“I’m very pleased to join the inspiring and digitally savvy Alta Signa team, and couldn’t imagine a better place to reignite my career in the insurance world.

She added: “Across CSEE there is a growing population and maturing financial markets, as well as a steady growth of international businesses attracted to the region – particularly in Poland but also elsewhere.

“Working with innovative thinkers and entrepreneurs to successfully grow is what I do best, and I’m looking forward to making an impact as Alta Signa expands its horizons into new territories that fit so naturally within its Europe-wide operation.”

Ingo Trede, Alta Signa Branch Manager, Spain, said: “Paulina’s multiple years of experience on both the broker and the insurer side in specialty lines insurance combined with her entrepreneurial mind-set make her the perfect match to lead the expansion into CSEE and to serve local needs.

“There is clear scope for expansion in the CSEE region, and our aim here is simple – we are addressing a surge in demand from the regional, national and pan-European insurance brokers servicing commercial and corporate clients locally for an expert partner that brings real insight and knowledge to the table, while offering access to an A-rated capacity panel.”
