Canopius Group launches medical malpractice business, names Ashley Moulton as healthcare underwriter

Global specialty (re)insurer, Canopius Group, has recently unveiled its new venture into the medical malpractice market with the appointment of Ashley Moulton as the healthcare underwriter.

canopius-logoMoulton brings over a decade of experience to her new role, having previously held key positions at Coverys Syndicate 1975 and CFC Underwriting’s life sciences division.

Her track record includes successfully driving growth in the life sciences binder book and building the US medical malpractice portfolio.

Canopius’ medical malpractice business will focus on underwriting a combination of international healthcare risks, with a specific emphasis on the lucrative US market.

As the company looks to expand its new offering, additional appointments will be made in the near future, aligning with ambitious growth targets.
