Jacques Le Pape Chairman has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors at CCR, the French state-backed re/insurer.
He replaces Pierre Blayau, whose mandate came under his statute term.
Le Pape will now oversee the running of the CCR Group’s strategic plan, which includes a continued strengthening of its natural catastrophe business, expansion of its commercial reinsurance activity, and development of its scientific expertise.
Since 2016, Le Pape has chaired the supervisory board of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations and has been working since 2020 as a partner at Barber Hauler Capital Advisers.
He began his career with the Insurance Control Commission before occupying various positions at the General Directorate of the Treasury.
He was successively advisor to the Keeper of the Seals, the Minister of Transport and finally Deputy Director of the Cabinet and advisor to Christine Lagarde, Minister of Finance.
After participating in the Air France KLM executive committee as Secretary General, he was Chief Financial Officer of the Global Fund in Geneva.
