Cyber insurer Corvus Insurance has hired Joe Duplock to be its new manager of underwriting.

Corvus LogoDuplock made the announcement on LinkedIn, saying that he had begun working for the firm this month. He is based in London. Prior to moving to Corvus Insurance, Duplock spent nearly four years at AXA XL, where he was a cyber and tech underwriter. He also spent over seven years at CFC Underwriting.

The firm more recently announced a cyber partnership with Travelers Companies. That deal, we reported at the beginning of November, is set to last over multiple years and will see the venture provide cyber insurance products and services to companies in continental Europe, focusing primarily on Germany and Austria.

Subject to regulatory approval, the European expansion of Corvus’s Smart Cyber Insurance offering will initially be geared toward small- and medium-size enterprises and middle market businesses with annual revenues up to €1bn, the firm noted.
