ICMIF appoints NFU Mutual exec as Chair of Intelligence Committee

2nd August 2019 - Author: Matt Sheehan

The International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF), an umbrella body for the global cooperative and mutual insurance industry, has elected Gina Fusco as Chair of its Intelligence Committee.

icmif-logoFusco is Head of Strategy and Marketing at NFU Mutual, and has been a member of the ICMIF Intelligence Committee since April 2014.

The Committee was established to guide ICMIF’s networking and knowledge activities, acting as a network to leverage the capabilities of its members by sharing strategic intelligence and research; best practice methodologies on innovation, technology, sustainability; and other emerging issues.

“I am thoroughly delighted to have been asked to chair the ICMIF Intelligence Committee,” said Fusco. “I joined the Committee in 2014 and have been an avid supporter ever since.”

“The opportunity to discuss strategic issues, global trends and opportunities with people from mutual and cooperative insurers around the world is invaluable,” she continued.

“The outputs and insights shared amongst the ICMIF network are world-class and the case studies provide practical examples of how other organisations are reacting to market trends – all of which have provided useful input to our thinking and strategies at NFU Mutual.”

Fusco succeeds Bill McKinney of Thrivent Financial, USA, who served as Chair since November 2015.

“We are thrilled that Gina has accepted this role to chair our Intelligence Committee,” said ICMIF Chief Executive Shaun Tarbuck. “She has been an active and valued contributor to the Committee over the last five years, bringing her experience and strategic vision to the high-level work of the Committee.”

“I would like to thank Bill McKinney for his service during his three-and-a-half year tenure as Chair and look forward to seeing the Committee continue to thrive under Gina’s new leadership,” Tarbuck added.
