Liberty Mutual Re, the reinsurance arm of Liberty Mutual, has announced the promotions of Tom Spurgeon and Harry Groves within its Financial Risk Reinsurance team.
Spurgeon has been appointed as a Senior Underwriter, having worked at Liberty since August 2017.
Groves, meanwhile, has been promoted to Underwriter following nearly two years in the Financial Risk team as an Assistant Underwriter.
“Congratulations to Tom Spurgeon and Harry Groves,” Liberty Mutual Re stated, adding that: “Both are highly valued members of our team, and we wish them all the best in their new roles.”
Prior to joining Liberty, Spurgeon spent nearly seven years at Chaucer Syndicates, the majority of which was spent as an Assistant Underwriter for US Casualty Treaty.
Groves joined Liberty Specialty Markets in June 2012, spending six years as an Underwriting Assistant, graduating to a Senior Underwriting Assistant in September 2018 before moving over to Liberty Mutual Re a year later.
