Specialty insurer Mosaic Insurance has announced the appointments of insurance market veterans Tim Glover and David White as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) and Underwriting Director, respectively.
Both Glover and White will be based in London and will also become members of the company’s leadership team.
As CUO of Mosaic Insurance, Glover takes on oversight of underwriting activities, portfolio management, claims, reinsurance, pricing, and reserving.
He brings more than three decades of experience in the London and international insurance markets.
In 2004, Glover was one of the founders of Pembroke Managing Agency and Syndicate 4000. During his tenure, he held a number of key roles, including active underwriter, CUO, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In 2019, the business was sold to Hamilton Managing Agency and Glover become CEO and a member of Hamilton Group’s executive leadership team.

White’s new role as EVP focuses on underwriting portfolio development and governance across regional offices. Mosaic states that he will have particular responsibility for underwriting discipline within the firm’s syndicated capital management and consortia operations.
He has worked in the Lloyd’s market since 1985, starting as a broker before moving into underwriting at SVB in 1999. White was one of the founding underwriters of Pembroke Managing Agency and Syndicate 4000, establishing its professional lines unit which he led for a decade. He held numerous positions with Ironshore and Pembroke, including head of distribution, CUO, and director of the managing agency.
