Australia’s QBE Insurance has announced the promotion of both Ceri Stokoe and Nathan Fuller to roles that see the pair join the firm’s International Executive Management Board, effective December 1st, 2022, subject to regulatory approval.

QBEStokoe, who joined QBE in 2016 as the Head of Application Services, later becoming Director of Strategy and Transformation, and most recently Chief Information Officer, has been made Chief Information Officer for European Operations.

She is set to join the firm’s Executive Management board, and takes on responsibility for IT Strategy and Change Transformation, as well as assuming additional responsibilities for business transformation consulting, transformation governance and data & MI.

Fuller joined QBE in 2004 as a Senior Claims Adjustor and during his tenure has held numerous roles across the claims function, playing a key role on the Claims Executive for the last four years in his most recent role as Head of Core Claims.

He has been promoted to Chief Operations Officer, International, and will be responsible for international underwriting operations for insurance and reinsurance as well as corporate real estate solutions, health & safety, procurement, and risk and resilience.

Tremor - The modern way to place reinsurance

Both Stokoe and Fuller will report to Jason Harris, Chief Executive Officer, QBE International, who commented: “I am delighted to have Ceri and Nathan join our Executive Management Board, not only because we were able to draw on our existing talent base but also because their appointments support the evolution of our business. Consistently delivering a superior service to our customers is at the heart of our strategic agenda and with strong growth ambitions across our UK and European footprint, ongoing modernisation in our technology and operational approach will be central to success.”

QBE notes that the elevation and broadening of the remit of the Chief Information Officer role, alongside the expansion of scope of the Chief Operations Officer role comes after the departure of Joe Gordon at the end of the year.

An internal search will begin to replace Fuller as Head of Core Claims, says the insurer.
