Singapore Reinsurers’ Association re-elects Haushofer to Chair

The Singapore Reinsurers’ Association (SRA), an industry body for the Singapore reinsurance market, has announced that Marc Haushofer of Validus Re has been re-elected as its Chairman.

Singapore Reinsurers’ Association logoThe Singapore Reinsurers’ Association (SRA) has announced the members of its Executive Committee (EXCO) for the 2017/2018 term of office.

Marc Haushofer, Chief Executive Officer, Asia-Pacific & Executive Vice President of Validus Reinsurance Company, has been re-elected as SRA Chairman at the Association’s Executive Committee meeting last Friday.

Haushofer commented on his re-election; “I thank my colleagues on the EXCO for their strong endorsement to continue to lead the Association through this challenging period. With their support and commitment, I believe we will be able to achieve more for the Association and our industry.”

The SRA also said that Kenrick Law, Regional CEO & Head P&C Client Management of Allianz SE Reinsurance Branch Asia-Pacific, has been elected to the position of Deputy Chairman.

Honorary Secretary is Theresa Wee of Singapore Reinsurance Corporation Ltd. Honorary Treasurer, Desmond Tan of Asia Capital Reinsurance Group Pte Ltd.

Members of the Executive Committee are James Beedle of Partner Reinsurance Asia Pte Ltd, Till Boehmer of Munich Re, Singapore Branch, Ann Chua of XL Bermuda Ltd, Philip Hough of Aspen Re, Sharon Ooi of Swiss Reinsurance Company Limited, and Christoph Spichtig of SCOR Reinsurance Asia-Pacific Pte Ltd.
