Trevor Jones named head of KPMG UK insurance practice

KPMG in the UK has appointed Trevor Jones as the new head of its insurance practice, replacing Simon Ranger, who will now focus on leading the Vice Chairs’ office.

Jones has over 30 years of insurance experience and has spent 24 of those with KPMG.

He previously led the firm’s UK actuarial practice and his experience with current issues impacting UK and global insurers.

In his new role, Jones will lead KPMG’s team serving clients across the insurance spectrum, including insurers, reinsurers and brokers.

“I would like to congratulate Trevor on his appointment and thank Simon for all his achievements over the last three years,” said Karim Haji, EMA and UK head of financial services at KPMG.

“Trevor brings a wealth of experience having joined our insurance team over 24 years ago and is well respected among our colleagues and clients,” Haji continued.

“I am also delighted to welcome Huw Evans who joins us this week, which will further strengthen our offering and presence in the insurance market.”
