Addresscloud, a cloud-based location intelligence platform, and geospatial data and AI solutions provider Skyblu have partnered to give insurers access to a rich suite of address-level perils data for locations across mainland Europe.
There has been increasing insurer demand for help in underwriting and pricing property level risk in the wake of climate change, and the partnership was created in response to this, according to the announcement.
This move also signals Addresscloud’s growing capacity to support its clients with their multi-national risks, the firm noted.
Alun Jones, Chief Commercial Officer, Addresscloud, commented: “Our customers are increasingly asking for detailed and accurate risk information for their European risks at property level and with this partnership we are now able to meet those needs.
“We are looking forward to working together to develop this partnership and bring more countries and perils layers to our customers and the wider insurance market.”
Skyblu provides hyperlocal perils information by applying a combination of leading-edge actuarial science, climate expertise and AI algorithms applied to multiple European data sources.
The new partnership allows insurers to access insights on perils including flash flood, windstorm, subsidence and wildfire at property level for a range of countries across mainland Europe, including France, Poland and Spain, through Addresscloud’s easily accessible API.
Kinga Kita-Wojciechowska , Skyblu CEO said: “An established insurance solutions provider like Addresscloud is the perfect partner for us. This allows us to bring our climate-related risk scores to many more insurers in Europe and we can’t wait to expand together to more countries soon.
“At Skyblu we believe that address-level data granularity is key for accurate and fair insurance pricing, and it’s a pleasure to work with the like-minded team at Addresscloud.”
