Ryan Specialty has announced the appointment of Shawn Yingling as Chief Retail Distribution Officer for its specialty underwriting segment, Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM).
Miles Wuller, President & CEO of RSUM, expressed enthusiasm for Yingling’s appointment, stating, “I am thrilled to welcome Shawn into the RSUM family. He brings a unique distribution perspective and a wealth of program knowledge to the team. Shawn will be a tremendous asset to our firm as we continue to expand our products and services for our trading partners.”
Yingling joins Ryan Specialty from AIG, where he served as Alternative Channels Distribution Leader for North America in the General Insurance division. In this role, he collaborated closely with managing general underwriters, program administrators, group captive administrators, and other alternative distribution channels.
Previously, Yingling was President of both the Glatfelter Healthcare Practice and the Glatfelter Religious Practice for nearly a decade. Before that, he served as Vice President at McNeil & Company, Inc. for 12 years.
