Victor, a global managing general underwriter (MGU), has announced the appointment of industry veteran Arno Wijnands as the new country manager for Victor Netherlands.
In his new role, Wijnands will report directly to Tim Carter, Global Chief Underwriting Officer at Victor.
Carter expresses enthusiasm for Wijnands’ appointment, stating, “Arno’s wealth of experience across several insurance sectors and insurtech business models is a great fit for our business in The Netherlands.
He added, “His strong leadership skills will be instrumental in further enhancing the underwriting expertise and efficient platforms Victor offers that are so valued by our carrier partners, brokers, and the insured’s we protect.”
Wijnands joins Victor from March, where he served as Senior Client Executive. Prior to that, he held various management roles at reputable firms such as SUREbusiness, SAA, AIG, and spent over 17 years at Aon.
Commenting on his appointment, Wijnands said, “Victor has a unique and vibrant business in The Netherlands, and I look forward to working with the talented team in Rotterdam to continue growing Victor’s capabilities for brokers and their clients.”
