AXA XL Reinsurance has announced the appointment of Petya Ivanova as Head of Property, International Reinsurance, effective July 1st, 2025.
In her new role, Ivanova will oversee the company’s international property portfolio, working closely with clients and the underwriting team.
She brings over 25 years of international experience in property and casualty (P&C) and life re/insurance, having held various roles within the AXA Group in both Paris and New York.
Most recently, she served as Head of Mature Markets within the Group Ceded Reinsurance department, where she was responsible for P&C and life reinsurance strategy and placement across European markets.
Before joining AXA more than a decade ago, Ivanova began her career at The MONY Group as a Life Pricing Actuary.

She will provide strategic leadership, drive underwriting excellence, and enhance market visibility for the International Property portfolio; a key part of our business.”
