Cayman Islands-based reinsurer Topsail Re has announced the addition of Brian Green as General Counsel & Head of Claims.
Green joins Topsail Re from Ascot, where he most recently served as General Counsel and Secretary, North America.
He spent two years in this New York based role and helped Ascot to launch its US platform.
Prior to this, Green spent a year at AXIS as Vice President, Senior Global Reinsurance Counsel.
And from 2014 to 2017 he worked at Arch Capital Services as General Counsel, Reinsurance North America.
In total, Green has practiced law for more than 20 years, most of which have been spent in private practice.
“Topsail Re is not the sole new entrant in the reinsurance market; however, the small but nimble team of intelligent individuals makes it stand out,” Green commented
