Coastal Insurance Underwriters (CIU), a program administrator specialising in designing, creating, and managing insurance products for a variety of business classes, has announced the appointment of two new Presidents.
Taking over this position will be Sim Bridges, who will also retain his role as Chief Underwriting Officer alongside this new role.
Bridges joined CIU’s team of commercial underwriters in 2009, leveraging diversified knowledge of many classes of risk to strengthen agency relationships.
“I am honoured to continue my journey with Coastal as President,” said Bridges. “Chuck Bushong was a wonderful leader, and I look forward to honouring his hard work by continuing to build the Coastal brand and team as we provide best-in-class service to our retail and carrier partners.”
CIU also named Kim Bushong Petrillo as President and appointed him Chief Operating Officer. Petrillo has been part of CIU since 2012, and for more than a decade has focused on business development, marketing, carrier and retail agent relationships, program implementation, and business system enhancements.
Commenting on his appointment, Petrillo said: “I am excited to continue investing in the future of Coastal as President and Chief Operating Officer. I look forward to growing our strong reputation with carriers, agents, and partners.”
Both appointments became effective with the retirement of founder and long-time CIU President Chuck Bushong on November 1, 2023.
