Large US insurer Chubb has announced the appointment of Cherry Gao as Head of Major Accounts & Global Broking, Singapore, effective 19th January 2026.
Gao brings nearly 20 years of regional and multinational experience spanning underwriting, broker engagement, and complex risk solutions.
She joins Chubb from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where she spent almost a decade, most recently serving as Vice President, Customer & Broker Engagement.
Prior to that, Gao was AVP, Hong Kong Casualty at AIG. She began her career at Aon Hong Kong Limited, where she held risk analyst and risk consultant roles.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Chubb said, “Her deep expertise and strategic leadership will further strengthen our ability to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional service to our major account clients and broker partners.
“Cherry’s appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing our value proposition for large and complex clients. We are confident that, under her leadership, our Major Accounts will continue to deliver disciplined growth, deepen client and broker partnerships.”
