CRC Group, a wholesale specialty insurance distributor in North America, is expanding its team with the addition of four new professionals to its team, Michael Schmitt, Sean McPhillips, Bailey Cadden and Blake Rios.

crc-group-logoSchmitt, who is joining CRC from Moody’s, has been appointed Broker and will be based at the company’s Denver, CO office.

At Moody’s, he served as Insurance & Risk Consultant, following his four-year tenure as Business Development Associate at Professional Risk.

Sean McPhillips is joining CRC Group’s Irvine, CA team as a casualty broker. Before transitioning to CRC, he worked as a business development for Berkley Aspire (a Berkley Company) and as an E&S Excess underwriter for Everest.

CRC Group’s Birmingham, AL, will be welcoming newly appointed broker Bailey Cadden, who brings over seven years of industry experience to the team.

He most recently worked as an underwriter with Velocity Risk, an MGA/carrier hybrid specializing in E&S insurance for the US specialty property market.

Blake Rios has joined CRC Group’s New York, NY office as a broker. Rios previously worked as an associate broker with the AmWINS Group.

Rios had been part of the AmWINS Group for over five years, having started at the company as an intern. He was then appointed technical assistant before being appointed associate broker.

“These new appointments mark a strategic expansion effort aimed at enhancing CRC Group’s ability to assist retail agency clients nationwide,” a CRC Group spokesperson stated.
