Newly formed CRC / INSUREtrust Cyber Practice Group has entered a new exclusive wholesale partnership with Darkweb IQ to help clients prevent ransomware attacks by leveraging exclusive visibility into the criminal ecosystem.

CRC Group, a wholesale specialty insurance distributor in North America, had previously announced the launch of its Cyber Practice Group led by Durdaller in April 2024.

With this new partnership, Darkweb IQ will now be available as part of INSUREtrust’s Cyber PreCheck platform, which aims to simplify the application process and provides vulnerability scanning as well as IT and insurance budget prioritisation guidance for policyholders.

Darkweb IQ offers unparalleled visibility into impending ransomware attacks, CRC Group highlights. It delivers actionable intelligence on compromised and privileged credentials currently being actively exploited by criminals.

It also provides specific notifications that identify the source of compromise and helps organisations remediate gaps exploited by criminals before the attack reaches its final stage, preventing data theft or ransomware deployment.

CRC Group Cyber Practice Leader Christiaan Durdalle, said: “This partnership delivers on our commitment to provide innovative solutions in the rapidly evolving cyber insurance landscape and empower CRC / INSUREtrust cyber brokers with enhanced resources.

“By bringing DWIQ to every policyholder, we are not only combatting ransomware, one of the most ubiquitous and severe cyber threats, but we’re also providing a proactive solution that is unavailable in the brokering community.”
