Derek Gullage has joined WCF Insurance, a provider of property and casualty insurance serving the Western United States, as Director of Reinsurance.
Gullage brings over 15 years of industry experience to his new role, having most recently served as Senior Reinsurance Consultant at AF Group, a Michigan-headquartered holding company.
Prior to that, he spent some time as Head of Reinsurance for Hippo Insurance following his ten-year tenure at Farmers Insurance, where he served as Vice President & Head of Reinsurance.
During this time, Gullage was responsible for all ceded and assumed reinsurance for the Farmers Group, including claims.
He also designed and implemented a catastrophe reinsurance plan which saw the company’s financial performance minimally impacted in record catastrophe loss years of 2008, 2017, and 2018, among other achievements.
Gullage also served as Vice President-Broker for GJ Sullivan Co. Reinsurance, a role he held for a year, following his first four years at Farmers Insurance, when he served as Director of Corporate Risk Management & Reinsurance.
