Davies, the specialist in professional services and technology, has promoted Dhara Patel to the newly created role of President and Deputy CEO of its North American business.
Patel’s promotion comes as Davies has announced a new go-to-market structure in North America under CEO, Matt Button, following a period of significant growth.
As President and Deputy CEO, Patel is expected to lead Davies’ North American operations and sales teams during a time where the company is continuing its commitment to invest and grow its service offering for clients across the U.S. and Canada.
In the role, Patel will report to CEO, Matt Button.
It has been confirmed that this new structure will be effective from August 1, 2024.
Patel joined the organisation in 2023 following Davies’ acquisition of ACM, USIS, PGCS and ICA.
With two decades of expertise across the insurance and professional services industry, Patel is well-equipped to take on this new role, having previously served in multiple senior executive leadership positions, including a stint as Services Segment President at Brown & Brown, where she was responsible for strategic growth and service delivery.
As well as this, she has also previously served as Davies’ CEO – Specialty Programs.
Under the new structure, Patel’s team is made up of: Peter Lucas, CEO of Insurance and Risk Management, Ken Scott, Senior Vice President of Growth and Account Management, and Don Lederer, who has been newly promoted to CEO of Davies’ enlarged Claims Solutions business unit. This follows the recent integration of the firm’s Claims Solutions and Specialty Programs businesses.
