Global reinsurance brokerage Gallagher Re has announced the appointment of Georgina Meyer as Executive Director, UK Property.
Meyer joins the firm with over two decades of experience in the reinsurance industry, specialising in catastrophe reinsurance and retrocession.
Throughout her career she has built a strong track record, successfully managing complex retrocession placements and contributing to market-focused solutions.
Meyer is joining Gallagher Re from Aon, where she served as a Broker for seven years. Prior to this, she worked at Beach and Associates for four years as Vice President and spent close to decade as Divisional Director for BMS Group.
This appointment follows the recent addition of Scott Cobon, who also joined the firm last week as Head of Strategic Solutions, Bermuda.
In the new role, Cobon, who joins from Artex, will focus on driving growth, expanding Gallagher Re’s Bermuda platform, and enhancing its global offerings through capital structuring and investor engagement.
