Hamilton Insurance Group has appointed Kylie Tomas as Senior Vice President, Claims Counsel and Head of Claims at Hamilton Re.
In this role, Tomas will manage the insurance and reinsurance claims teams and oversee all claims matters for the reinsurer.
She joins Hamilton later this month and will be based in Bermuda, reporting to Megan Thomas, Chief Executive Officer.
Tomas joins Hamilton from Sompo International where she spent nearly 12 years, most recently in Alpharetta as Vice President, Claims Counsel, Head of US Financial Institutions Claims.
Prior to Sompo, she was with Liberty International Underwriters, formerly Liberty Specialty Markets, in both Australia, where she served as Claims Counsel, and New York, in the role of Senior Claims Specialist.
She started her career as a solicitor in the insurance and risk management group at Phillips Fox Lawyers (now DLA Piper) in Australia.
