Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets, Syndicate (Munich Re Syndicate Limited), the managing agent of Syndicate 457, has announced the appointment of Stephanie Ogden to lead the organisation, effective 1st March 2026.
Ogden will be succeeding Thomas Artmann, who has led the Syndicate ahead of his retirement.
In her new role, she will be responsible for driving Munich Re Syndicate Limited’s long-term strategy.
She will join Munich Re from HDI Global SE, where she has spent the past six years, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer – UK and Ireland.
Prior to joining HDI, Ogden served as an Oversight Manager at Lloyd’s and spent nearly a decade at Allianz Insurance in various senior positions, most recently as Branch Manager, Scotland.
Commenting on Ogden’s departure, David Hullin, Member, HDI Global Executive Board, said, “Steph has made a significant contribution to our UK & Ireland business and successfully delivered on our local strategy, strengthening our market position and client relationships. We wish her all the best for the future.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Ogden stated, “After many rewarding years leading HDI, I’m delighted to be joining Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets, Syndicate. The team, led by Thomas, has built a fantastic business. I am honoured to be joining and excited to take it forward together.”
