Howden adds two new executives to A&H, Life, and Special Risks team

Global insurance intermediary group Howden has announced the appointment of Claire McDonagh and Mariana Weigel Munoz to its Accident & Health, Life, and Special Risks team.

In their new positions, McDonagh’s and Weigel Munoz’s primary focus will be to enhance Howden’s direct and facultative offerings, especially for complex, cross-border, and high-hazard risks.

Furthermore, they will play a crucial role in the distribution of accident and health (A&H) products through Howden’s expanding retail network.

McDonagh joins with more than two decades of experience, spanning both broking and underwriting.

She is joining Howden as Divisional Director – Accident & Health, Life, and Special Risks. Prior to her new appointment, she served as an Account Executive at Miller for four years, following her tenure as Account Director at Aspire Insurance Advisers.

The executive also spent over nine years with AIG as EMEA Accident and Health Multinational Underwriter Manager, and more than 5 years as Accident and Health Placing Broker at Heath Lambert

Weigel Munoz brings over 25 years of London market experience, with the last 20 years dedicated exclusively to A&H products.

She is joining Howden also as Divisional Director, following over two decades as a Broker with re/insurance broker Miller.
