Bermuda-based reinsurance company PartnerRe has announced updates within its Life leadership team, appointing Kevin O’Regan as CEO, Global Longevity, and expanding John Mok’s role to CEO, Life & Health APAC & EMELA, both effective January 1, 2025.
These appointments follow Chris Shanahan’s appointment as CEO, Life & Health, also effective January 1, 2025.
Shanahan commented, “Having worked closely with Kevin and John, I’ve seen firsthand their deep expertise, commitment and leadership to delivering exceptional reinsurance solutions for our clients.”
He continued, “Together, I am confident we will continue to achieve great results as we build on our strong foundation in Life and health globally.”
O’Regan brings 25 years of industry experience to his new role. He has been with PartnerRe for the past 15 years, most recently serving as CEO, Life & Health EMELA, where he was responsible for the production, underwriting, and management of Life and Health Reinsurance in Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Prior to that, O’Regan was Business Development Manager – Life Reinsurance at XL Re Life for four years and also Director of Life Reinsurance at Aon Benfield.
John Mok, who has served as CEO, Life & Health APAC since February 2021, will now expand his role to include CEO, Life & Health APAC & EMELA.
Before joining PartnerRe, Mok spent eight years at Swiss Re, most recently as Head of Client Markets Japan – P&C, L&H. Prior to that, he served as Director of Business Development at Reinsurance Group of America (RGA).
