Marsh, an insurance broker and risk advisor under Marsh McLennan, has announced the appointment of Adam Russell as Head of Global Wholesale.
Based in London, Russell will report to John Donnelly, President, Global Placement at Marsh.
In this role, he will oversee Marsh’s global wholesale insurance broking operations, including portfolio solutions. His focus will be on expanding the firm’s wholesale and facultative business while supporting clients with tailored solutions and advice.
Russell joined Marsh in 2014 and has held senior leadership roles in its international wholesale placement business in Singapore. In 2018, he became Placement Leader for Marsh Asia’s retail business, and in 2022, he relocated to London to lead Marsh’s UK Portfolio Solutions and Digital Placement teams.
Most recently, he served as Head of Strategy, Global Placement, since December 2023.
Charlotte Meah succeeds Russell as Head of Strategy, Global Placement. She joined Marsh in 2013 as a Senior Advisor in risk consulting and most recently served as Chief of Staff, Marsh Specialty & Global Placement. Based in Atlanta, she also reports to Donnelly.
