Reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced some leadership changes within its Analytics team in Asia Pacific, appointing Hemant Nagpal as Head of Analytics and Darren Murch as Deputy Head of Analytics.
Nagpal joined Gallagher Re from Moody’s RMS in 2021 as Head of Catastrophe Analytics. Prior to his five year tenure at Moody’s RMS, the executive was Senior Vice President, Head of Cat Model Development Asia-Pacific at reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter, a Singapore-based role.
Before his more than nine years at Guy Carpenter, Nagpal served as a Catastrophe Analysts at Aon Re Asia, following two years at Moody’s RMS India, where he held a variety of roles.
As Deputy Head of Analytics, Murch will work alongside Nagpal to support the continued success of the team.
The executive brings to his new role over a decade of experience in general reinsurance pricing and structuring. He has been part of Gallagher Re since 2021, when he joined as Executive Director before being appointed Regional Director.
Through his career, Murch has also held roles at Willis Re, before it was acquired by Gallagher, the Bank of England, and the University of Warwick.
