Nahal has over 15 years of financial services experience, and she spent the last decade specialising in insurance, underwriting PI, and specialty commercial risks. Most recently, she served at Hiscox as a Development Underwriter in its Midlands team since 2018.

Parkash has a background in insurance broking and more than two decades of insurance industry experience, having specialised in PI risks at Lockton, Giles Insurance Brokers and Wesleyan. Before this, she served at Tokio Marine HCC as a Development Underwriter in Birmingham since 2023.

Sachin Gupta, Managing Director of UK PI, Pen, commented, “We are absolutely delighted to welcome both Raman and Jazz to Pen’s Birmingham team, as we continue to invest in deepening our PI underwriting expertise across the regional markets and brokers that we serve.

“Given the breadth of professions that we insure, their combined regional market knowledge, PI underwriting experience and skills in building new and developing existing client relationships will be a fantastic asset as we look to grow in partnership with Midlands-based brokers.”

Nahal added, “I’m excited to join Pen and start working closely with its broker partners across the Midlands to deliver the underwriting expertise and client solutions they need to grow our businesses together. Just like Pen, Birmingham and the wider region support a diverse range of professions, born out of a broad-based economy which continues to evolve and expand, making it a really dynamic market to operate in.”

Parkash said, “It’s great to be joining the Pen team here in Birmingham, where I’ve spent many years specialising in professional indemnity risks. With a significant proportion of the regional population employed in the professional services sector, brokers will always need specialist underwriters on hand to offer quality service and cover.”
