Piiq opens Paris office following regulatory nod

Aerospace re/insurance broker Piiq Risk Partners has opened its new French office in Paris, having received approval to operate in the country earlier this year.

PiiqThe re/insurance broker’s French operation, Piiq Risk Partners SAS, will serve as a base for expanding its services across the French and European markets.

The company notes that the move reinforces its commitment to provide both existing and future clients with a global offering.

The receipt of regulatory approval in France was seen as a way to enable the aerospace broker to develop a strong European hub and provide seamless service to its clients in light of Brexit.

Anne-Laure Rosenwald, Partner and President at Piiq Partners SAS, is based in the new office.

Commenting back in July, when Piiq recieved approval to operate in the country, the company’s Chief Executive Officer Phil Smaje, said, “France has a very established and market-leading aerospace and manufacturing industry and a mature insurance market that our team knows well.

“We are delighted to be able to offer our clients the service that they need in France, throughout Europe and indeed globally.”
