PointBridge and Aspen launch admitted physicians professional liability program

PointBridge, a managing general underwriter (MGU) specialising in professional liability insurance, has partnered with re/insurer Aspen to launch a new admitted physicians medical malpractice program.

technologyThe new professional liability program for physicians and surgeons, offering modern and competitively priced coverage, is scheduled to launch on January 1, 2026, across the United States.

According to the announcement, the initial market rollout will commence in select states on that date, with deployment expanding across 15 target states by the close of the first quarter of 2026.

The new admitted program provides several key advantages for medical professionals: Financial Strength, supported by Aspen’s AM Best A rating and global recognition; and modern admitted forms with current coverage language suited for today’s medical practice.
It also offers advanced underwriting with AI-assisted technology ensures faster, more precise risk assessment and underwriter review; as well as competitive pricing, technology-driven efficiency leads to more competitive premiums.

The program will be available to licensed physicians and surgeons, as well as professional corporations and practice entities under which insured physicians operate.

Initial launch states include Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin.
