Specialist managing general agent (MGA) Prestige Underwriting, has announced the promotion of Katy Peacock to the role of Head of Home, Product and Governance.

In her new role, Peacock will oversee the development and governance of Prestige’s home insurance portfolio, which involves ensuring robust underwriting rigor and delivering top-tier nonstandard home products, leveraging her over 20 years of experience in personal lines underwriting.

She will work closely with Charlotte Baker and Emma Attfield, who will support her in leading the Home Underwriting team.

Baker, previously Property Underwriting Team Leader, now serves as Underwriting Manager, while Attfield has moved from her Schemes Manager role to become Product Manager.

Alison Williams, Managing Director of Prestige Underwriting, stated: “Katy’s promotion is richly deserved. She has been a key part of our underwriting team for many years, and I am excited to see her progress the Home Underwriting team further.

“Katy’s expertise and proactive leadership will drive the team forward, enhancing our support to brokers and delivering continued growth in the nonstandard home insurance market.”

Joining Prestige Underwriting in 2015, Peacock gained a deep understanding of nonstandard home insurance and the needs of the broker market through her role as Technical Underwriting Manager, her most recent position.

In this capacity, she was responsible for managing the company’s home insurance products across all regions, as well overseeing underwriting processes and product governance, ensuring Prestige’s home portfolio adhered to both regulatory standards and broker needs.

Peacock commented: “I’m excited to be taking on this role and I plan to take our home underwriting offering from strength to strength. My focus is on further developing our home insurance products and governance to support our broker partners and the wider market.

“I look forward to building on our success – strengthening our home underwriting portfolio and delivering even more value for brokers and customers.”
