The QBE Possibilities Fund aims to support early-stage climate innovations by providing philanthropic capital and building partnerships for impact-first investments through ImpactAssets, a donor-advised fund based in the US.
The primary mission of the QBE Possibilities Fund is to accelerate the development and adoption of climate solutions with the potential to significantly impact future climate resilience and stability.
QBE will collaborate closely with funders, partners, and innovative early-stage companies, contributing expertise and resources to collectively address climate challenges and enhance global resilience.
Already making strategic investments, the QBE Possibilities Fund has supported Azolla Ventures, a blended capital fund by Prime Coalition focusing on climate impact solutions, and ReGen Ventures, an early-stage fund investing in regenerative technologies, particularly in food and agriculture, materials and products, and decarbonisation.
Matthew Nordan, General Partner at Azolla Ventures, highlighted the critical role of corporate expertise and networks in supporting early-stage ventures, emphasising the impact on their speed of development and long-term success.
Dan Fitzgerald, Managing Partner at ReGen Ventures, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with QBE North America, stating that contributions from the QBE Possibilities Fund would drive the necessary capital and talent investment to improve lives within communities and lead towards a brighter tomorrow.
