French reinsurer SCOR has announced the appointment of Helen Croft as its new Head of UK & Ireland, Life & Health.
In her new role, Croft will oversee the underwriting of life reinsurance for SCOR clients across the UK and Ireland region.
Gavin Maguire, Head of UK & Ireland, Life & Health at SCOR, expressed enthusiasm for Croft’s appointment, stating, “I am delighted to welcome Helen to the SCOR team. Helen is a proven underwriting leader and brings a wealth of experience from a client and customer perspective to her new role, leading the SCOR Life Underwriting Team.”
Maguire added, “In this role, she will be responsible for ensuring we continue to deliver a fantastic underwriting service to our insurer clients in the UK and Ireland.”
Croft joins SCOR from AIG Life Ltd, where she has been working since 2010, starting as an Underwriter and progressing to various senior roles, most recently serving as Chief Underwriter.
Prior to her tenure at AIG, Croft began her career at Aegon UK, working as an Underwriter for three years.
Commenting on her departure from AIG, Croft said, “I’m hanging up my AIG Life Ltd lanyard after 13 years. It’s been an amazing journey and I’m so proud of the difference we’ve made with product innovations, new underwriting philosophies, journeys and processes.”
