Echo Reinsurance Limited (Echo Re), a Swiss-based reinsurer, has announced the appointment of Tal Winkler as Senior Treaty Underwriter at Echo Re and DEVK Re.
Both Echo Re and DEVK Re are fully owned subsidiaries of DEVK Sach- und HUK-Versicherungsverein a.G.
Winkler is an experienced reinsurance engineering underwriter with a background in civil engineering and analytics. He specialises in treaty underwriting across Europe, Israel, the UK, and the London market.
He joins from AXA XL, where he spent the past four years, most recently serving as Treaty & Facultative Reinsurance Underwriter Engineering.
Prior to that, Winkler worked at Swiss Re’s Risk Engineering Services for Property & Specialty Underwriting, conducting risk assessments to mitigate exposure and providing guidance and tools to support underwriters.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Echo Re stated, “With his strong engineering and reinsurance background, Tal brings valuable expertise to our team. We are wishing him a great start and much success in his new role!”
