The reinsurance arm of Vienna Insurance Group, VIG Re, has appointed Frank Reichelt to its Supervisory Board.
Reichelt is a reinsurance sector veteran who brings expertise that spans over 40 years.
He currently holds several external mandates such as Board Member of the German Pharmapool, a Member of the Supervisory Board and Chair of the Advisory Board of Extremus A.G., and the Deputy Chair of the German Nuclear Pool.
Between 2012 and 2023, Reichelt acted as Chair, Vicechair or member of various committees of the German Insurance Association (GDV).
Reichelt has also spent 17 years at Swiss Re, serving as CEO of Swiss Re Germany since 2012 and member of the Swiss Re Europe management committee since 2010. Prior to that, he worked for 23 years at Frankona Rück and Employers Re (part of GE Group), holding various leadership positions.
