Insurance holding company W. R. Berkley Corporation has appointed Antonio Q. L. Rhodes as President of Berkley Mid-Atlantic Insurance Group (BMAG), a Berkley subsidiary, effective immediately.
Rhodes is an industry veteran with nearly two decades of property and casualty insurance industry experience.
Most recently, Rhodes served as the Executive Vice President and Head of Property & Casualty for a leading agency network and brokerage firm.
In that role, he was responsible for overseeing programmes, central placement, and large and complex insurance countrywide.
W. Robert Berkley, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of W. R. Berkley Corporation, commented on the appointment: “We are very pleased to welcome Tony as president of Berkley Mid-Atlantic Insurance Group.
“His extensive experience in building and leading businesses, along with his knowledge of the mid-Atlantic region, will prove to be great assets to BMAG and the group overall.”
In Q2 2024, W. R. Berkley Corporation generated record net premiums written (NPW) of more than $3.1 billion as net investment income increased by almost 52% to a new record.
