WR Berkley has said that its board of directors has elected to its midst Daniel L. Mosley.
The move, which comes into effect in January, will increase the number of board members to ten and the number of independent directors to eight.
The New York-based Mosley serves already on the firm’s executive committee and is a partner at BDT & Company.
In taking up the position, Mosley will join William Robert Berkley, W. Robert Berkley Jr., Christopher L. Augostini, Ronald E. Blaylock, Mark E. Brockbank, Mary C. Farrell, Maria Luisa Ferre, Mark L. Shapiro, and Jonathan Talisman.
In addition, Mosley was a partner at Cravath, Swaine, & Moore. He is chairman of the board of the Pinkerton Foundation and is the former chairman o the board of directors of Greenwich Hospital.
