XS Global, an independently owned managing general underwriting (MGU) platform, has announced the appointment of Phillip Brain as Regional Accident & Health (A&H) Underwriting Manager.
Brain brings more than two decades of global experience in Accident & Health, with deep expertise across leadership, underwriting, and distribution.
Prior to joining XS Global, he served as Head of Accident & Health Asia at Arma Underwriting Ltd. He has also held senior A&H roles at Everest, AIG, QBE Asia, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, and Chubb.
In a recent LinkedIn post, XS Global said, “Throughout his career, he has successfully transformed A&H businesses across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, building high-performing teams, expanding market presence and delivering sustainable, profitable underwriting portfolios.
“He is widely recognized for his ability to balance strong technical underwriting discipline with a client-first mindset, delivering innovative solutions that are both financially sound and tailored to the evolving needs of businesses and individuals from large treaty opportunities to micro-insurance solutions.”
The appointment follows XS Global’s recent expansion into the Asia Pacific region with the launch of XS Global Asia Pacific Ltd (XSGAP) in Hong Kong.
