Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) privately-owned insurance broker, ACE Insurance Brokers, is to establish a dedicated reinsurance operation in Dubai, based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
The new business will join the broker’s region-wide network, which is comprised of 16 offices across eight countries.
From DIFC, ACE’s reinsurance industry experts will provide bespoke solutions, comprehensive claims and risk management services to large projects and insurance programmes throughout the Middle East.
The expansion of ACE’s reinsurance operations was announced at this year’s Dubai World Insurance Congress by ACE Holding’s Executive Group Vice President, Yolla El-Khoury, who said: “This expansion is in line with the strategy and vision of ACE to be one of the top brokers in each market we operate in.”
She also noted that the DIFC expansion diversifies the company’s product offering and also provides access to niche markets and a broader client base.
