Achmea appoints Rogier Peters as Executive Board member and CRO

Dutch insurer Achmea has announced the appointment of Rogier Peters as a member of the Executive Board and Chief Risk Officer (CRO), effective 1st October 2026.

Achmea logoPeters will succeed Michiel Delfos, who will step down from the role on the same date.

Peters is an experienced insurance executive and risk management expert with an actuarial background. He currently serves as CRO at international insurer MSIG Europe, a role he has held since 2020.

Prior to this, he was an advisor at Insify and also held CRO roles at Ageas UK and Etiqa. He began his career in actuarial practice at Tillinghast Towers Perrin, Aegon, and Fortis.

Bianca Tetteroo, Chair of the Executive Board of Achmea, said, “Rogier’s appointment strengthens the integrated risk perspective within the Executive Board. Given his actuarial and international background, I am confident that he will make a valuable contribution to the execution of our strategy towards 2030, with a focus on integrated risk management. Achmea’s Executive Board will comprise Bianca Tetteroo (Chair), Michel Lamie (Vice-Chair and CFO), Rogier Peters (CRO), Daphne de Kluis, Robert Otto, and Lidwien Suur.
