Insurtech Joyn Insurance has announced the appointment of Adam Berger to Chief Underwriting Officer, effective immediately.

“Adam joined our team earlier this year and immediately made an incredible impact, working hand-in-hand with our underwriters and distribution team,” said Seraina Macia, CEO of Joyn Insurance.

He continued: “We’re delighted to elevate Adam to the position of Chief Underwriting Officer while Bill Fahrner, who led our underwriting on an interim basis, pivots his attention back to advancing our technology ecosystem.”

At the same time, the company has announced that coverage for commercial property and general liability is now live in Pennsylvania.

With this new coverage market, Joyn is now accepting submissions in 37 states and Washington, D.C.

Adam Berger, Joyn’s Chief Underwriting Officer, commented: “We’re excited to show brokers in Pennsylvania what a fast, consistent underwriting experience looks like and how joyful the insurance experience can be,”

“Joyn’s technology-driven insurance offerings are now live in three out of four states, and brokers nationwide are seeing for themselves how the powerful ecosystem we designed can be a major leap forward for the industry.

Founded in 2021, Joyn Insurance is a fast growing company that continues to gain momentum. Earlier in the year, the company announced $17.7m in Series A funding led by OMERS Ventures with participation from Avanta Ventures, ManchesterStory, Cohen Circle, SiriusPoint, and several private individual investors.

The insurtech aims to remove the pain points and operational inefficiencies that commercial insurance brokers and underwriters experience all too frequently.

Joyn achieves this by seamlessly integrating insurance and technology expertise to create a better way of providing insurance for brokers and customers.
