Lloyd’s syndicate AEGIS London has announced the appointment of Robert M. Blue as a Non-Executive Director, further strengthening its board.
Blue is a member of the board of Associated Electric & Gas Insurance Services Limited (AEGIS), AEGIS London’s parent company, and also serves as Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Dominion Energy, a Fortune 500 electric and natural gas utility company.
He serves on the boards of several major energy industry and civic organisations, including the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (chair), the Edison Electric Institute, the Nuclear Energy Institute, AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc., and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, among others.
Blue has spent the past 20 years at Dominion, joining the company in 2005, and has since held a number of senior leadership roles across regulatory, operational, and public policy functions. He became President and CEO in October 2020 and Chairman in April 2021.
Prior to that, he served as Counselor to the Governor of Virginia and as Director of Policy for Governor Mark Warner. Earlier in his career, he practised law at Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells).
