Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has brought William Mills onboard as its new global head of reinsurance.
Mills is moving to the firm from Beazley, where he was group head of ceded reinsurance and third-party capital. According to his LinkedIn profile, Mills worked at Beazley for over sixteen years in a variety of roles. He will be based in London in his new position.
On its LinkedIn page, AGCS said it was delighted to welcome him into the Allianz family.
Mills, meanwhile, posted on his own LinkedIn page a few days ago to announce his departure from his previous role.
Mills wrote: “Last day at Beazley after 16 years. My thanks to colleagues past and present, in particular to my unofficial mentor Christian Tolle. Thank you also to our many reinsurer and broker partners – see you on the other side.”
The referenced Tolle is the group head of political, accident, and contingency at Beazley.
Tolle commented on Mills’ post: “Good luck with your new role Will and wishing you every success! Still happy to have a chat if you ever feel the need!”
