Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), a division of global insurer Allianz, has announced that Anthony Vassallo has been appointed as a Senior Underwriter to lead its downstream energy unit within its Regional London Energy team.
Vassallo has been with the firm since 2003, and has worked across numerous specialty lines in the London marketplace, Europe, South America, and also Asia. Prior to his new appointment, he was responsible for strategy within the company’s Marine and Energy, Chief Underwriting Office based out of London.
Before this, he headed up the AGCS Marine and Energy team in South America, and was based in Rio de Janeiro.
AGCS’ Regional Unit London includes the UK, Ireland, Dubai, Russia, the Nordic Region, Australia, and New Zealand. In his new role, Vassallo will report to AGCS Regional Head of Energy in London, Tracey Hunt, who commented on the appointment.
