Ageas groups reinsurance brand Ageas Re has bolstered out its leadership team through a series of appointments.
Firstly, Stephan Rappaz from Peak Re has been appointed to the role of Underwriting Director Casualty, where he will be based in Aegas Re’s Zurich office.
Rappaz joins Ageas Re from August 1, 2023. He joined Peak Re in 2019 after spending more than four years of service at Qatar Reinsurance Company Ltd., where he held the role of Head of Casualty.
Prior to that, he spent just under 14 years working in a variety of leadership roles at New Reinsurance Company Ltd. (NewRe).
Secondly, AIG’s Jérôme CARRÉ joins Ageas Re’s Management Committee. Based in Brussels, he brings a wealth of industry expertise towards the role, including previous stints as Chief Actuary at AXA Re and Chief Risk Officer at Paris Re.
Overall, CARRÉ brings over three decades of industry experience towards his new role.
In addition, Arnaud Le Boulengé will be leading Ageas Re’s Corporate Underwriting department, where he will be responsible for underwriting quality, best practices, portfolio steering and accumulation control. He joins from SiriusPoint where he was General Manager for the Belgian Branch.
Lastly, Pierre-Yves Dalimier who joins the firm in July will lead the property underwriting team for France, BeLux, Italy, the Mediterranean and Africa.
