Global insurer American International Group (AIG) has announced the appointment of Dimitry Zilberud as Head of Marine for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
In his new role, Zilberud will be based in Sydney, Australia.
In a statement, Emma Woolley, Global Head of Marine at AIG, said: “Dimitry has 26 years of insurance experience bringing a deep understanding of the region, established relationships and solid track record for driving growth. Welcome Dimitry, it’s great to have you on the team!”
Prior to joining AIG, Zilberud spent nearly a decade at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Head of Marine – US and Australia.
Before that, he served as Underwriting Manager, Marine – Australasia at HDI Global SE for almost four years.
Zilberud has also worked at other reputable firms, including ACE Group, CNA Insurance, and QBE Insurance, in various Marine Underwriter roles.
