American International Group, Inc. (AIG), a global insurer and reinsurer, has appointed Gavin Spencer as Head of Specialty, North America, in addition to his current role as Head of Marine of North America, a role he has held since 2024.
Spencer has nearly two decades of industry experience in the US and international markets.
Spencer joined W.E. Cox Claims Group in 2006. At the company, Spencer served in roles including Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Group Operations Director, and Group Marketing Executive & Assistant Director.
More recently, he served as the Chief Insurance Officer & Active Underwriter 1796 at Parsyl. Prior to this, Spencer served with Marsh for four years as US Marine Logistics & Inland Marine Leader, Senior Vice President (SVP), US Reclaim Leader, SVP.
