American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has announced the appointment of Jonathan Ranger as Asia Pacific Head of Marine, General Insurance.
In this role, Ranger will be responsible for optimising and executing on the company’s marine strategy across the region.
He brings over 30 years of experience working across multiple markets to AIG.
Most recently, Ranger served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Criterion Underwriting Pte Ltd.
He held this position from April 2018, before which he was CEO at Munich Syndicate Singapore Pte Ltd, which he joined in July 2002.
Ranger also held a position as Regional Marine Underwriter for Swiss Re from 2000 to 2002.
This is also not the first position Ranger has held at AIG, as he worked as a Marine Underwriter first at AIG Europe from 1990 to 1997, and later as a Marine Manager at AIG Singapore from 1997 to 1999.
