American International Group, Inc. (AIG), a global insurer, has appointed Ryan Thomas as the Head of Financial Lines, Asia Pacific, based out of Singapore.
Thomas has over 20 years of underwriting experience. The insurer stated that, “Ryan brings a wealth of technical expertise and leadership skills that will be critical in delivering on our growth strategies in 2024 and beyond.”
He returns to AIG after spending more than eight years at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance as the Directors & Officers Manager, out of Sydney. He has also served as the Manager, Financial Institutions, Directors & Officers and Executive & Professional Lines in Australia.
Prior to that he served as the D&O Manager at AIG, as well as roles such as Senior Underwriter, Financial Lines and National Accounts as well as Underwriter, National Accounts and Professional Associate, National Accounts.
He has also served at the Suncorp Group for more than six years.
